“A farmer went out to sow his seed” Math 13:3
The greatest privilege we have that we have heard the good news, that Jesus came into this world, died for us, He rose up and He will come back to take us back. Till then we need to live as per the word of God.
Jesus said about four types of people who hear the word. Which group do we belong too? But on a day to day how do we live?
Not Listening: “some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up” Math 13:4 Some are so busy with life that when Lord speaks, they do not even listen, they do not have time for the Lord.
Not rooted: “Some fell on rocky places, …It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root” Math 13:5,6 Some receive it with joy, but they do not pray, they do not learn the word, and when tough times comes, they give up, grumble and murmur.
Not Changed: “Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants” Math 13:7 Some do not change the way they live, still have thorns, they still continue in secret sins and worries of life. So what is received is choked and they become unfruitful
Prayer: And then few falls in good soil, a broken and contrite spirit, surrendered heart is a good soil. Lord; give me a heart that is the good soil. Amen.
