Finding God's Will

Finding God's Will - Morning devotion 3 January 2022

by Pastor Solomon Kings | Morning Devotion

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

1 John 5:14

Are we asking everything as per God’s will?
We speak more about God’s will.
How to know God’s will?

The ways to hear God’s will.

1.Walk with God. (Proverbs 3:5,6)
Everyone has desire. Never try to fulfil the desire by your own self . But, seek God to guide you. Whenever a desire strike you, ask God whether it is from Him. If it is from Him we get happiness.

2.Surrender your wishes to God.
(Romans 12:1&2)
When a desire strike us, even before asking Him, analyse whether the desire is of the world or it is according to the word of God.

3.Execute God’s will that is already known to you.
(1 Thessalonians 4:3)
Have holiness in everything you do. Reflect holiness as we are the holy generation. Analyse the actions. Never compromise to holiness. Every decision should have holiness. People should fear to talk to you, regarding unholy things.

4.SEEK GODLY INPUT IN EVERYTHING YOU DO.
(Proverbs 11:14)
Ask Godly counsel to the spiritual people in whatever you do.
By doing this, we will be successful.

5.Help everyone through whatever you do. (1 Peter 4:10)
In all the work, try to support someone.

6.Listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit. (John 10:27)
Ask God for guiding all your path.

7.Ask your our own heart.
Our heart will speak to us.
(Psalm 37:3&5)

8.Look at your circumstances.
(Acts 16:6-10)
Paul was hindered to go to a particular place.
When God denies something, follow it. When God leads in a direction, stick on to it.

God Is Our Helper - Morning devotion 21 December 2021

DIVINE HELP

Hebrews 13:6

So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”

God is our help. Hence, we shall not fear.

How do we receive God’s help and hence how not to fear?

A) God’s help is from Elshadai who is omnipotent God. He says it to Abraham.
The help we receive is divine. It is not humane.
God is capable of doing everything. His almighty hand is with us.

B) God’s help is not periodical or seasonal. Whereas help from human is seasonal. He is unchanging God, which is said in Hebrews 13:8.
God helps according to our personal needs. Need will differ from every person to person.

C) Read Hebrews 13.
List of needs as mentioned in Hebrews 13:1- need for love, 13:2- need for benevolence/acceptance , 13:3- need for sympathy, 13:4-need for holiness, 13:5-need for permission, 13:6- need for equality, 13:7- need for stability.
God’s children needs stable growth and not ups and downs.
All these needs will be satisfied by God.

His love, mercy and might never changes.

Never leave you

Never leave you - Morning devotion 20 December 2021

by Pastor Solomon Kings | Morning Devotion

GOD IS ALWAYS WITH US

Hebrews 13:5

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

When God gives promises, He imposes a condition. It is said that love for money is the root cause of all sin.
Always have a satisfying heart.

Whatever we have or not, Lord Jesus is sufficient for us. Have desire to be with the Lord. We may have desire for somethings in our life but let us have desire for the Lord.
He will never leave us nor forsake us. He will never change.

God said the same to Jacob
Genesis 28:15- Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”

The same words are reiterated for us too. He is with us until He accomplishes His promise, which says that He is with us, wherever we go. It means , He is with us until we go to heaven.
Thank God for these words.

God said it to Joshua.
Deuteronomy 31:7&8
Then Moses called Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “Be strong and of good courage, for you must go with this people to the land which the LORD has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall cause them to inherit it.
And the LORD, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”

God goes before us. God will be with us. He being with us is the strength. Be strengthened with these words .

God said it to Solomon.
1 Chronicles 28:20- And David said to his son Solomon, “Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD God—my God—will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.

We may be trying to do many things. God will be with us until we finish the work.
God will give a sign that He is with us by uplifting us before everyone’s eye.

You Will Not Be Forgotten By Me

You Will Not Be Forgotten By Me - Morning devotion 18 December 2021

by Pastor Solomon Kings | Morning Devotion

Be Encouraged. God Remembers

Hebrews 6:10

For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

God remembers all your deeds. God doesn’t forget even a single deed.

Psalm 105:8,9, says, “He remembers His covenant forever, The word which He commanded, for a thousand generations,
The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac,”

God remembers the covenant.

Exodus 2:24
So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

God sees your problems, suffering and have given you promises which He will remember.
God will do it for you.

Psalm 136:23.
Who remembered us in our lowly state, For His mercy endures forever;

God remembers in our times of sorrow.

Isiah 49:15
“Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.

You will not be forgotten forever.

Psalm 20:3, “May He remember all your offerings, And accept your burnt sacrifice.”

God will give you the reward for all your deeds in the new year.
God will remember the sacrifices.
Sacrifices done for His name sake will be always before Him.
Human beings may not recognise your sacrifices. But, God remembers it.

Mathew 25:40, “And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’”

Whatever you did for the poor and downtrodden will not be forgotten.

Acts 10:31, and said, ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your alms are remembered in the sight of God.

All your prayers are also remembered.God knows the time to grant you, your requests.

God remembers your charity work as He remembered for
Noah.

Noah might have felt that God has forgotten Him when He was inside the ark. But, God remembered Him as the word says, “Your walls are always before me. I have engraved you in my hands. “

God will bless you for all that you do and have done.

God Understands And Helps During Suffering And Temptations

God Understands And Helps During Suffering And Temptations. - Morning devotion 16 December 2021

by Pastor Solomon Kings | Morning Devotion

For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted

Hebrews 2:18

God came as a man to this world and lived on the earth. He had the same afflictions, challenges and suffering like that of a man

Example: It is written thrice in scripture as “He wept”. He too lacked in finances in order to pay tax. He did not have a place to rest.

Whatever man undergoes, Lord Jesus also underwent while He was on the earth. God has underwent the pain and suffering like we undergo. He underwent the pain on the cross. God has travelled through the same path. Hence, He understands and helps us.

Therefore, share/ pour out all your situation to God instead of sharing to human beings.

There are three different temptations written in 1 John 2:16, “For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world”.

These three temptations, were undergone by Lord Jesus. After the 40 days of fasting and prayer done by Lord Jesus in Mathew 4:3-8, Satan comes to tempts Him. Jesus knew to overcome it.

Be cautious: God is a foe to the prideful people. God overcame all these temptations through His word.

God knows our tears, challenges
and suffering. In all our weakness, His grace is sufficient for us to help us to overcome it.

You Are Useful

You Are Useful - Morning devotion 15 December 2021

by Pastor Solomon Kings | Morning Devotion

From Unprofitable To Profitable Person

Philemon 11, 20

who once was unprofitable to you, but now is profitable to you and to me. Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in the Lord.

BACKGROUND OF THE VERSE:

Onesimus was appointed to death penalty who was useless to everyone.
He met Paul in prison and becomes a useful person after knowing the gospel through him.

God did not create anyone to be useless but to be a useful vessel. We become useful once we accept Lord Jesus Christ as our Lord.

We need anointing to be a special person.

1 Corinthians 12:7, says , “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:”

The spiritual gifts are given for profit.

More than thousand of sermon the manifestation of one anointing is very special. – Morris Cerello.

There are list of spiritual gifts mentioned in I Corinthians 8-10.
We need spiritual gifts to have anointing.

One word that comes out of us has to be beneficial and profitable.

Hence, ask God to make you a special/ useful person through His salvation and manifestation of spiritual gifts.

Grow in the God given spirit of wisdom

Grow in the God given spirit of wisdom - Morning devotion 14 December 2021

by Pastor Solomon Kings | Morning Devotion

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

2 Timothy 1:7

God will take out the fear, terror , adverse thoughts from all of us.

God has not given us the spirit of fear but of sound mind.

Pray for deliverance from spirit of fear and trouble in heart.

Proverbs 23:5, says, “Will you set your eyes on that which is not?…….”

God will give discipline in mind.
Our mind should not be after void things.

Do not fear over things that will not happen or doesn’t exist. God will do all things at right time.

As stated in Proverbs 23:12, “Apply your heart to instruction, And your ears to words of knowledge.”

Words of knowledge is the word from God. Social media is filled with word of God which has words of wisdom. Listen to it.

James 1:22, says, “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves”.

We ourselves should not be deceived and we have to get rid of false thoughts. God has plans for everyone before laying foundation of this world. He never changes from His plan according to the situations.
Get into a confidence over God by seeking the words of wisdom. Have these words in your heart.

Colossians 3:1, says , “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God”.

Desire to seek things of above.
Have desire to execute all the plans without quitting.

John 4:34, says, “Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work”.

As a family plan, to execute the will of God.

Philippians 1:5, “for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now,…”

Never complain about your situation.

Wait and pray. Situation may be against us. But, wait in His presence.

Hebrews 13:8, says , “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever”.

Confess it.

He Will Establish You And Protect From The Evil

He Will Establish You And Protect From The Evil - Morning devotion 13 December 2021

by Pastor Solomon Kings | Morning Devotion

But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.

II Thessalonians 3:3

CHARACTERISTICS OF GOD:

1.He is faithful.
2.He will establish.
3.He will keep us away from evil.

Job22:28, says” You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.”

We have many plans. We do not know how the fore coming year, 2022 is going to be!

Whatever we decide, God will establish.

As a family sit together and plan.
Decide all your plans, which God will establish.

Pray for strength to establish the plans.

Whatever we plan, there will be light. God will execute it positively.
Your plans will not fail as God will make it to prosper.

Isiah 33:6, says , “Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times, And the strength of salvation; The fear of the LORD is His treasure”.

Your feet shall be firm because of divine wisdom and knowledge.
It will be a strength to your feet.

When there is a challenges, we stumble and seek counsel from people. But, when God establishes, He will give divine knowledge and establish. Confess it. God will provide abundantly.

Mica 5:4, says,”And He shall stand and feed His flock In the strength of the LORD, In the majesty of the name of the LORD His God; And they shall abide, For now He shall be great To the ends of the earth;”

God Himself will be our shepherd by being our strength.

God will uphold, carry, bear and deliver you until the old age.

God will uphold with righteousness and keep away from evil caused by satan and people. Pray to be away from such things.

When we fall into evil, which is our sins, deeds displeasing God and
danger , we will fail and disregard God’s glory. Hence, pray daily to God to keep away from every evil.

2 Timothy 4:18, says “And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!”

God is faithful and He will strengthen and guard from every evil.

GOD SHALL SUPPLY ALL THE NEEDS

GOD SHALL SUPPLY ALL THE NEEDS - Morning devotion 11 December 2021

by Pastor Solomon Kings | Morning Devotion

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:19

God is able to change all our shortcomings through His riches and glory.

Shortcomings are not spoken out by people. Shortcoming can also be our needs.

Lord Jesus was in the wedding at Cannan, where there was a need.

To attain/pursue a particular thing, we put efforts which might not bare fruit. No one expects to have shortcoming/ deficit.
We may think to be perfect but it might not be so. We may not know how to overcome it.

Amongst our shortcomings, if Holy Spirit is with us, we will become sufficient.

Wherever we face, the shortcomings or need, Lord Jesus will be there to satisfy us.

The little can be multiplied as in the house of Zarephath widow, who fed Prophet Elijah, through her little flour and oil.

King Saul says about David as small boy and a shepherd. Even David’s father forgets him.

Gideon says that among every nation, Israel is the least, among which tribe Manassae is least, among which his father’s house is least.

All these least, less and little can be turned to a blessing by God.

If anyone says that he has needs, God is the one who will meet out it.
God calls us, as a man of valour.

If God is with us, He will change the shortcomings/ needs/ deficit.

In your family, finances and any other needy situations , if there is scarcity, do not worry, God is there to supply all the needs.

The Omnipotent God is able to provide/supply from His riches and glory.

Equipped through God’s strength

Equipped through God’s strength - Morning devotion 10 December 2021

I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

Philippians 4:13.

We may go tired and weary everyday. We may address new issues in life.
In such situation, God gives special wisdom to accomplish things. God partners us with human beings.

God allows trials in order to strengthen us.
Illustration: Iron is refined in a refinery for 48 hours. It undergoes various processes. At the end, it gains a guaranteed period of 35 years. Through the processes, it is moulded.

In the similar way, God strengthens us and moulds us. Moulding process may be tough.
Ephesians 6:13, says “…. that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand”.

Everyone should know that we are equipped to do certain things.
We are strengthened to deal/ face certain tasks. We are given with capacity to withstand certain conditions.

Philippians 4:12, says “Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need”.

He helps us to withstand and be strengthened in every situation.
In order to be equipped by the spirit of God, know how to address the weaknesses:
When faced with a weak situation inform to God everything.

God will equip thorough His strength.
