how quickly I would subdue their enemies Psalm 81:14
Lord is expressing His desire; he wants to destroy all the enemies who rise up against us. Lord is clearly stating the reasons why the deliverance is delaying.
Lack of Obedience: “If my people would only listen to me, if Israel would only follow my ways” Psalm 81:13 Listening to God and following His voice takes us to the next level, there is no short cuts. But disobedience hinders that work of the Lord in our life.
Remember and Trust: “I am the LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.” Psalm 81:10 Lord is asking His people to remember how the Lord delivered them in the past. When we remind ourselves the miracles of the Lord and mediate, it increases trust in us and the Lord will fulfill the faith of His people.
Provision: “But you would be fed with the finest of wheat; with honey from the rock I would satisfy you.” Psalm 81:16 When we trust and obey, when we mediate upon His greatness and praise Him, Lord will dwell in midst of us, and bless us with the best of heaven.
Prayer:Lord; please forgive us for our disobedience and stubborn heart. Help us Lord, we want to listen, obey, mediate and praise you all the days of our lives. Amen
