Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression.. Micah 7:18
Many God’s children live in the guilt of past sins, many do not even stop sinning or confess their sins, as they have lost hope that the Lord will forgive their sins. This thought is from the evil one. What is the reality?
Our Confidence: Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence Heb 4:16. However bad is our state, if we sincerely seek the Lord, we can be sure He will forgive, that’s our confidence.
Our Comfort: “… I sit in darkness.. Because I have sinned against him … He will bring me out into the light; I will see his righteousness” Micah 7:8. Our comfort is that our saviour will pull us out of even the deepest pit.
Our Confession: “Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD. And you forgave the guilt of my sin.” Psalm 32:5. Let us out of brokenness and confess all our sins. Lord will surely forgive.
His Compassion: “You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.” Micah 7:19. Lord not only forgives our sins, but Lord will forget it also. So let us not live in the guilt of past.
Prayer: Father Lord; forgive my sins, make me white as snow. I know you will deliver me from the guilt of past. I will see your righteousness in Jesus Name. Amen.
