Verse
“Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.” Ecc 12:13
Thought
Lord gave wisdom to Solomon. There was no man in the whole world; who was as wise as Solomon. He sinned “Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD” 1 Kings 11:6, Lord warned Him twice but He did not heed. “And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel” 1 Kings 11:9. Then Solomon lived with His wisdom but with out God. Lord was faithful to His promise; He never took way His Kingdom, Wisdom or Power. Solmon having materially everything in life, Solomon felt there is no meaning in life. “Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher. “Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless.” Ecc 1:2. Without Jesus in your life everything will be meaningless. Solomon understood why He failed in His life and gives solutions. “Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, “I find no pleasure in them” Ecc 12:1. First and foremost remember the Lord always; bring glory to Him by the way we live. Second “Fear God and
keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.” Ecc 12:13. Work out your salvation in fear and trembling, do not take grace lightly. Let holiness be our priority and righteous to our shield.
