For you have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling Psalm 56:13
When the Philistines had seized David in Gath, he had written this Psalm, Lord delivered him from all his enemies. When David was captured, like anyone he was frightened, but he changed the situation. How?
There are two kinds of believers
Fear to Trust: When they fear they run to God and try to trust in the Lord “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” Psalm 56:3
Praise to Trust: Those who praise God for the promises, they will always trust God and will never be afraid. “In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” Psalm 56:4
David when he was afraid he went to the Lord and trusted him. Did not stop there, he started to praise God for His promises, immediately his state of mind changed, David said, In God I trust I will not fear. Let us praise God, that Lord will take away our fears.
Prayer: Father in Heaven, we praise you for your promises; your plans are to prosper us, not to harm us. We will not fear but always trust you Lord. Amen.
