Thought
These are the last words of Moses, with all His experience He says to the whole nation of Israel , and calls them as Jeshurun (A poetical name for the people of Israel, used in token of affection, meaning, “the dear upright people”). Lord promised and encouraged “The LORD made you, formed you in the womb, and will help you. This is what the LORD says: Don’t be afraid, my servant Jacob, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.” Isa 44:2
Smith Bible Dictionary Quote “(supremely happy), a symbolical name for Israel in (Deu 32:15; 33:5,26; Isaiah 44:2) It is most probably derived from a root signifying “to be blessed.” With the intensive termination Jeshurun would then denote Israel as supremely happy or prosperous, and to this signification the context in (Deu 32:15) points.”
Testimony : We named our son as Jeshurun taking these promises, we realized when He was 1.5 Years He had a serious sickness with His bones for which there is no treatment. Consequences of it were horrifying. We were shocked, broken and what came to my mind was the above verse
- Lord formed my son in the womb.
- Lord rides on cloud to help to help my son.
- He(my son) will be most happy person and chosen
- He(My son) need not worry.
I did not have answers, was really helpless, we quit our jobs seeing no hope but just the above verses. Now 7 years passed when we looks back Lord really ridded on cloud to help us, we are blessed more than we could expect. My friend you might not have a hope situation now, just blindly hold on the promises although it is tough to believe, one day like me you will write your awesome testimony. Amen.
Prayer
Lord, help us trust in your promises. Lord I am just leaning on you and never on our understanding. I pray for people who are heavy at heart, thank you, for you are going to deliver them. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
