I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.” Psalm 77:11

Reading:

Jos 2:1-14

Story: When Joshua received the promise from God, that they will receive Canaan as their inheritance, he sent two spies to look over Jericho. So they went and stayed in the house of Rahab. The king of Jericho heard some of the Israelites have come to spy out the land. The king sent a message to Rahab to bring out the men.

Rahab said to the spies “I know that the Lord has given you this land and that a great fear of you has fallen on us, we have heard how the Lord did great miracle’s for you “. Since Rahab believed what she said, she hid the men and saved them. Later when Israelites captured the city they kept Rahab and her family alive.

Lesson: Rahab took risk for what she believed. What do we believe and how do we react when we face tough times. Rahab faith was not driven on the current circumstance but by remembering the past miracles what the Lord had done.

Do remember the miracles the Lord has done in past or do we dwell in the present pain. The Lord who did great things in past, is still at work. Do we really understand the future seeing the present trail or by remembering the miracles of the past. He is faithful even today.

Prayer: Father Lord, teach me to understand and believe your great power. And help me to remember your great miracles and expect it now. Amen.
