Out of the eater, something to eat; out of the strong, something sweet Jud 14:14
Samson had killed a lion with bare hands and sometime later in the lion’s carcass Samson found bees and some honey. Above was the proverb that Samson asked. Answer was honey out of Lion. I believe this proverb is very relevant for us in 2013. Lion is supposed to devour, same way our enemies who are supposed to attack us, Lord will bring honey out of them, Samson ate the honey and shared with his parents too. Same way; we will be provided by the Lord through our so called oppositions.
Mind of God: Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns Mat 16:13 When spoke using his concerns, Jesus called that spirit is of Satan. Jesus rebuked him and asked him to have the concerns of God. In our challenges let us look at it, with the mind of God.
See God: She gave this name to the LORD who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me Gen 16:13 Hagar when she saw the angel of God; in midst of her trouble, she was delivered. Let us also look only at our saviour in tough times and confess ‘You are the God who sees me’
Confidence: Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore Ps 71:20 Psalmist was sure Lord will restore although he sees trouble at this moment. Our confidence is in the Lord.
Prayer: Lord; this New Year I am sure from all my challenges you will bring out comfort, from all my tough situation treasures of heaven will come out. Amen.
