Verse: If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High you dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near you tent” Ps 91:9,10

Psalms 91 is one of the most known psalm for the promises of protection and provision. Two lessons, what is God’s expectation about us, how will God respond to us, when we fulfill His desires.

Our Ways: Above verse starts by saying, Lord is our refuge, this should not be lip service, we should not have any tinge of pride, we should be humble and our trust should be only God, it is not our strategy that brings success, it is the savior who does it. And it talks of making Most High our dwelling; we dwell many times to please people than God. We dwell many times to receive praises from people than praising God. Let us make Most High our dwelling by living in His presence.

His Ways: When our ways pleases God, Lord promised that no harm will overtake you. We live in a world of unexpected dangers, lot of backstabbing, back biting, but our Lord promised none of these things will come near you. Fear of future will be replaced by present faith in God, as we are confident in who holds our future.

Prayer: Father Lord, teach me humility, guide me to trust only in you, that we will lead heavenly life in this fallen world and save the lost. Amen.
