Peter remembered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered! Mark 11:21
When Peter saw the Fig tree that Jesus cursed had withered, he was amazed and he told Jesus. Jesus knowing Peter’s astonishment taught him the principle of miracle. Do we expect miracles, and then listen to Jesus’ teaching.
Faith: “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. Mark 11:22 Starting point is to have faith in God, solution is with the savior.
No Doubt: “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart Mark 11:23a Heart that does not doubt can ask or speak impossible things to happen. What do we speak?
Sure Speech: but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Mark 11:23b When we speak, if we believe what we speak. Surely it will happen, as the Lord in whom we put our trust will perform what we proclaimed.
Trust and Pray: Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:24 Prayer is the key, there is no other short cuts.
Forgiving: And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins Mark 11:26. Greatest hindrance to answered prayers is un-forgiveness, so let us forgive all those who have wronged us.
Prayer: Teach me depths of faith, Let my words be with no doubts and let me be sure that what I speak will come to pass. Help me to pray in faith. Take away all my un-forgiveness. Amen.
