Num 17:1-12
Story: God wanted to show the Israelites that He has chosen Aaron as the priest, so once Lord asked Moses to speak to the people of Israel. Asking them to bring one staff from each of the 12 tribes and write the leaders name on the staff. Then Moses laid them in the presence of the Lord.
Moses walked into the Tent of Testimony the next day and saw that Aaron’s staff, the staff of the tribe of Levi, had in fact sprouted—buds, blossoms, and even ripe almonds!
Lesson: A staff that has no root, a dead rod, how could it bring our fruit? When the lifeless is brought in the presence of God, Lord can do miracles. Whatever dead state we are in, let us refuse to give up hope, but let us bring the trial to our Lord, He will turn our troubles to triumphs.
When Lord steps into our life, it does not matter how messed up we are, he can bring life to the lifeless state. Question is have we gone to His presence and surrendered our staff.
Prayer: Father Lord, I come to you; give life to my lifeless circumstances. I believe you can turn my sorrow to joy. Amen.
