Jehovah hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm

Verse

“For the LORD your God has blessed you in all that you have done; He has known your wanderings through this great wilderness. These forty years the LORD your God has been with you; you have not lacked a thing.”‘ Deu 2:7 

Thought

People had to travel to canaan for 40 years. We think of that wilderness experience as very difficult but Lord is telling, all during the travel, “God has blessed you in all that you have done” Deu 2:7. In our tough times, we have a God who blesses our work. “Jehovah hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm” Nahum 1:3. So let us not grumble, Lord told the Israelites through Jeremiah when you go to Babylon and being taken as slaves for your sins, there “Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, to all the exiles whom I have sent into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon …multiply there, and do not decrease” Jer 29:4,5. In what ever state or any circumstance Lord can bless you there. We many times ask for change, like change of house, job, church, relationships, fellowship, boss, colleagues list goes on. Do we know Lord can bless in the state you are in. 

We might think Lord can use us only if we have more (talents, money, opportunity, friends etc) Lord needs us not what we have. Lord used the staff in the hands of Moses to divide the Red sea, stone in the hand of David to kill Goliath, Jesus used, 5 loaves of bread from the small boy’s hand to provide for 5000 men, a jawbone of a donkey, Samson used to kill 1000 Philistines, a little oil from hand of the widow to finish all her debts and provide her, through Elisha the list goes on. So it is not what you have, it is being available and surrendering to God. Lord will do great miracles. 

Prayer

Lord, many times I complain about things I do not have, Sorry Father, I thank for the situation I am in. I know you will do great things in whatever state I am in. Amen
