“I will set him on high because he hath known my name,”

Shifting from a “fear-filled faith” (which leads to crying, complaining, underestimating oneself, and wanting to give up) to looking at circumstances through “Eyes of Faith.”

When you view the world through eyes of faith, the following transformations happen in your life:

1. Bold Confession & Positive Attitude

  • Drawing from Numbers 14:7-9, the speaker compares the twelve spies sent to Canaan. Ten spies looked with fear and saw themselves as grasshoppers next to giants. However, Joshua and Caleb looked with eyes of faith and declared that the land was exceedingly good.

  • They confidently stated that with God’s favor, the enemies would be like bread to them because the protection over the enemies had departed, and the Lord was with Israel.

  • Faith shifts your mindset from defeat to declaring that God has already granted victory, regardless of how overwhelming a disease, weakness, or problem appears.

2. A Renewed Divine Hope

  • Citing Luke 1:37, the sermon emphasizes that what is impossible for humans is entirely possible with God.

  • Faith instills a “New Hope” that acts like a living energy. Even when circumstances dictate that something is completely unfeasible, relying on the mighty hand and grace of God turns the impossible into reality.

3. Freedom from All Doubt

  • Mark 11:22-24, believers that if anyone tells a mountain to be lifted and thrown into the sea, and does not doubt in their heart but believes it will happen, it will be done for them.

  •  A story of an elderly woman who constantly prayed for a troublesome hill in front of her house to move into the sea so her walk home would be easier. While her children and grandchildren doubted her, years later, the government excavated that very hill to build a harbor extension in the sea. She eventually took her family to the harbor to show them that the “mountain” that once blocked her was now under her feet.

  • In the same way, the obstacles standing like mountains before you today will one day be placed beneath your feet by God.

4. An Increasing Capacity for Faith

  • Based on Matthew 9:27-30, when the blind men cried out to Jesus, he asked them if they believed he had the power to heal them. Despite the crowds trying to hush them or the obstacles in their path, their faith did not diminish; it increased.

  • True faith does not decrease when facing delays or opposition; it grows stronger to push through boundaries.

5. Unshakable Trust in God’s Promises

  • According to 2 Corinthians 1:20, all the promises of God are “Yes” and “Amen” in Christ Jesus.

  • Believers operating in true faith anchor themselves strictly to the Word of God. No matter how unlikely a breakthrough seems, they stand firmly on scriptural promises, confident that God will bring His words to pass.

6. Unyielding Resilience in Christ

  • Reflecting on 2 Corinthians 4:8-9, the apostle Paul describes the ultimate posture of faith: being hard-pressed on every side yet not crushed, perplexed but not in despair, persecuted but not abandoned, struck down but not destroyed.

  • People lacking faith immediately look to turn back to “Egypt” at the first sign of trouble. Conversely, a person rooted in faith maintains an unshakeable zeal, knowing that even if they fall, they will rise again.
