“look(ing) diligently lest anyone fall short of the grace of God.” – Heb 12:15

We are saved by grace; all that is needed in our life comes to us by the grace of God. What is the truth about the grace of God?

Grace is Gift – you can not earn it –Eph.2 8,9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Grace is a free gift that we receive by faith.

Grace is Paid – It cost the blood of Jesus Christ. “…being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 3:24). “Justified” means to be declared “not guilty.” It’s “just as if I’d” never sinned.

So we are freely declared not guilty by His grace. That sounds good! But look at the last half of the verse: “through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” “Redemption” means “to buy back.” Jesus Christ paid the price to buy us back when we were slaves to sin.

Grace is Accepted –   You must choose to accept it. “We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain.” (2 Corinthians 6:1) We need to accept the grace by faith.  Depend on grace, never try to get grace by works, always remember works are result of true grace of God working in our lives.

Grace is Precious – WHAT SHALL we say [to all this]? Are we to remain in sin in order that God’s grace (favor and mercy) may multiply and overflow? Certainly not Rom 6:1,2 Let us not take grace lightly, it is precious , let us never lose it.

Prayer: Father Lord; help me to receive the free gift of grace, by faith. Lord, your grace is sufficient for my Salvation, Healing and Victorious walk with Christ. Amen.
