I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:11
Reading:
Jos 8:30 -35
Story: After victory in the battle of Ai, Joshua built on Mount Ebal an altar to the Lord, as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded. On it they offered to the Lord burnt offerings and sacrificed fellowship offerings. There, in the presence of the Israelites, Joshua wrote on stones a copy of the law of Moses.
Afterward, Joshua read all the words of the law. There was not a word of all that Moses had commanded that Joshua did not read to the whole assembly of Israel, including the women and children, and the foreigners who lived among them.
Lesson: Daily how wonderfully our God is leading us, end of the day, do we build an altar to the Lord, it means to separate out a time with our God, thanking and praising Him for what he has done. Are we people who are grateful, do we spend quality time with Almighty God.
Joshua did not finish with just thanking, but he took effort to write down the word of God on stones and read our every word to all. We have the Bible what are we doing with it. Do we really study and speak out the word of God.
Prayer: Father Lord, help me to be a man of the word. Help me learn and live as per the word of God. Amen.
