My heart, O God, is steadfast, my heart is steadfast. Ps 57:7
David wrote this Psalm from the cave when he was running from Saul. Death was just so near that why the David said “I am in the midst of lions;” Ps 57:4. What could we do in such a situation?
Depend: Look for the mercy of God. “Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me” Ps 57:1 Stop looking at people for help look at the Lord. Trust in the love and faithfulness of God “For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.” Ps 57:10
Refuge: Lord permitted David to be in the cave so Lord will lift David to be the King, till the time of the Lord David said “I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed.” Ps 57:1 While waiting, let us be steadfast “My heart, O God, is steadfast, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music. Ps 57:7 Praise the Lord from the cave.
Prayer: Oh Lord I trust in your mercies your love is great and your faithfulness is forever. My heart is steadfast in the Lord. Amen.
