“This is what the LORD says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged…” 2 Chronicles 20:15
Greatest weapon that the evil one uses against us is “Fear”. Fear is one of emotion that the Lord has given. Let us look at what is right kind of fear. Also let us make sure we are not ruled by negative fear.
Do not fear Man: Jesus said “So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.” Mat 10:26 Here Jesus is telling do not fear men who will try to harm you, as the Lord will disclose the secrets.
Do not fear satan: Jesus again said “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul” Mat 10:28 Here Jesus is telling do not fear the evil one as he can not touch our soul.
Fear God: Jesus said “Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” Mat 10:28 Here Jesus is telling we should fear God Almighty, this is not fear of punishment, this is reverence, standing in Awe of the Almighty.
Do not fear for you are valuable: Jesus again said “And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” Mat 10:30,31 Jesus said do not fear as we are valuable in the eyes of the Almighty.
Prayer: Lord; teach us to fear you alone. Lord; take away all the fear on men and evil one. Amen.
