Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right. Acts 10:34-35
Lord accepts and is looking for people who really fear God. Fear of God is not fear of punishment; it is not fear of rejection. Fear of God is really standing in Awe, when we have the true knowledge of God. Let us examine “Who among you fears the Lord and obeys the word of his servant?” Isa 50:10
Provision: “Fear the LORD, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing.” Ps 34:9. When we fear God, there will be a true meaning in life. Contentment will be there, joy will fill our heart and we will say; we lack nothing.
Protection: “The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.” Ps 34:7 All the schemes of the evil one will be destroyed by our savior. He will protect us from all dangers
Presence: “But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love.” Psalm 33:18 Lord Presence, His sight will be on us. To know God, we have to spent time with the Lord, knowing Him will lead us to true fear of God.
Prayer: Father Lord; help me to know more of you. Help me Lord to “continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling” Phil 2:13. Amen
