God speaks in a variety of ways; dreams are just one of them. Dreams from God are a whole new language.The New Testament, the very first two chapters we have 5 dreams from God. Always remember Daniel 1:17 tells us, “.. God gave Daniel special ability in understanding the meaning of visions and dreams. So there is great meaning and secrets that Lord can share through dreams. Directions: Mathew 1:20 Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife. When you are cross roads not knowing what to do, Lord is awesome to speak through dreams. Joseph received Mary only because of dream. In Bethel Gen 28:12, Jacob at crossroads running from his brother saw stairways to heaven. Assurance at cross roads
Discernment: Mathew 2:12 having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod. Wise men discerned Herod evil thoughts through dreams. When we do not know what is the right and wrong Lord can speak to us through dreams. Lord can ask what you need through dreams 1 Kings 3:5 says “That night the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream and God said, ‘What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you. WOW!
Deliverance: Mathew 2:13 Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Joseph warned danger through dream. When you are not aware of a danger Lord brings deliverance through dreams. Joseph was delivered from prison only because Pharaoh (Genesis 41:1) had a dream.
Decisions: Mathew 2:19 an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt 20and said, “Get up, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel.” It is great to have a confirmation from the Lord in a dream on a decision you are going to take. Paul went to Europe and not to Asia; his decision was changed because he saw vision at night (Acts 16:9). Dreams can transform your decisions.
Deviations: Mathew 2:22 having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee. When you are taking a wrong route Lord can correct you with through dreams. Gideon was fearful and wanted to go back, but Lord by making Gideon hear a dream of enemy (Jud 7:15) changed his route.
God gives us dreams to help us solve our problems, to tell us things we didn’t know, to show His love and tender care to us, to help us along our way and to entertain or show His love to us! And, best of all, this is available to all of us!
Prayer:Lord, tonight when I sleep meet me and speak to in a special way in my dreams. Give insight to interpret dreams. The same spirit you poured out on Joseph and Daniel. Amen.
