The Lord said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, … Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you Gen 13:14-17
Story: Abram reached the Promised Land with Lot, but the land could not support them while they stayed together, for their possessions were so great that they were not able to stay together. And quarreling arose between Abram’s herders and Lot’s. So Abram said to Lot, “Let’s not have any quarreling and he asked Lot to choose whatever land he wanted.
Lesson: Abram was Lot’s uncle, he led Lot out of Ur, he could have taken upper hand and suppressed Lot, but he humbled and took initiative to stop the quarrel. Not only that, he also gave Lot the right to chose what he wanted, thus getting into a position that he might lose the good. But when Abram allowed Lot to chose, Lord spoke to Abram immediately and told whatever you see is yours. Do we need to fight for our cause; do we really need to fight for our share?
Prayer: Father Lord, let me be a peace lover like Abram, let my cause and share be from the Lord. Amen
