“Do not judge” Mat 7:1a
Jesus said a very simple commandment; do not judge others, even if the person is worthy to be judged. The reason is simple; judgment is to be done by God Almighty as He alone is the judge. If we condemn people for the mistakes they do; what will happen?
Judged: “you too will be judged.” Mat 7:1b Jesus said, immediate result of we judging others is we will be judged. We know we have been justified by faith, so let us not lose this by judging others. And we will receive the same judgment scale from the Lord “For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged…” Mat 7:2.
Look: “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? Mat 7:3 Jesus is asking when we ourselves are sinful how could we look out of others wrong doing. Stop looking at others start paying attention at our lives to be corrected.
Clarity: How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? Mat 7:4 Let us work on correcting our lives so then we could gently help other to come out their issues in love.
Prayer: Lord my Father in heaven, forgive all of us for judging others. Help us to be love others and pay close attention to our lives. Amen.
