Israel
in Joshua chapter 9, came to an understanding with the people of
Gideon. In chapter 10 all the kingdoms of the surrounding came together
to attack Gibeon because of this alliance. Joshua took the
responsibility and went and fought for Gibeon. Lord backed up Joshua “The LORD said to Joshua, “Do not fear them, for I have given them into your hands; not one of them shall stand before you” Jos 10:8. During the battle “The Lord threw them(enemies) into a panic” Jos 10:10, enemies started to flee then the “Lord destroyed them with a terrible hailstorm from heaven” Jos 10:11
Now something great happened, enemies are not completely destroyed, but the sun is setting. “Joshua prayed to the Lord .., Let the sun stand still” Jos 10:12. Lord heard the prayer and lengthened the duration of the day. The word says “There has never been a day like this one before or since, when the Lord answered such a prayer. Surely the Lord fought for Israel that day!” Jos 10:14. When we are with the Lord, we can ask great things that no man has ever seen nor heard nor ever thought. Are you with the Lord to see the supernatural?
Prayer
Lord;
help me to face the world with you. I will see supernatural things and
awesome miracles. All things happen for the establishment of your
Kingdom and all for your Glory. Amen.
