Meditation on Jeremiah 31:14

“Satisfaction” is a word under question in any person’s life.

I will satiate the soul of the priests with abundance, And My people shall be satisfied with My goodness, says the LORD.

Psalm 65:4, says Blessed is the man You choose and cause to approach You, that he may dwell in Your courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Of Your holy temple.

In this world, human beings don’t get satisfied easily. We receive satisfaction through the goodness in the Lord’s house.

Psalm 36:8, says They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.

We can be satisfied when we are partakers of the Church.

Ways to receive satisfaction:

Psalm 63:2 “So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your Power and Your glory.

Psalm 122:1 I was glad when they said to me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.

David’s experience is that he was happy to see God in the temple. If you wanted to be satisfied, have happiness in your heart for God’s house.  A recent survey says that only 30% of the believers attend Sunday service online.

During that time only 5% of them only take part or get involved in the worship, the rest are the spectators. Many believers have started to have a desire to worship in Church and mingle with the believers.

How many of us have such desire?

In work, family, and personal life, you shall receive satisfaction only through the house of the Lord. When we develop to aspire for the house of the Lord, we will be satisfied.

Psalm 42:4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul within me. For I used to go with the multitude; I went with them to the house of God, With the voice of joy and praise, With a multitude that kept a pilgrim feast.

David had a longing. David went to the Lord’s temple along with the multitude of people. Many people prepare in advance happily to go to the Church. Hence, David also had satisfaction.

If we get the opportunity to worship the Lord in the Church after the lockdown restrictions get relaxed, we have to be prepared.

Psalm 35:18 I will give You thanks in the great assembly; I will praise You among many people.

Psalm 111:1 Praise the LORD! I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, In the assembly of the upright and in the congregation.

Psalm 26:12 My foot stands in an even place; In the congregations, I will bless the LORD.

Praise God in the church. Never waste time in church but praise Him.

Psalm 48:9 We have thought over Your goodness, God, In the midst of Your temple.

After going to the church, stop thinking of other things but ponder on the grace of the Lord.

Psalm 52:8 – We have thought, O God, on Your lovingkindness, In the midst of Your temple.

Have desire to be a matured believer avoiding all kinds of dissension. Never have competitive spirit or be political inside the church but grow mature in Lord as a family.

You will be blessed accordingly

  1. Have longing, desire, and burning passion inside the heart to go to Church.
  2. Be prepared to go to church along with all the believers.
  3. Do not waste time in church.
  4. Praise the Lord in the church.
  5. Think of God’s grace in the Church.

When the above ways are followed, you shall be blessed according to the below-written words.

Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.

Psalm 134:3- The LORD who made heaven and earth Bless you from Zion!
