“Behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD, “That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; A King shall reign and prosper, And execute judgment and righteousness in the earth.
In His days Judah will be saved, And Israel will dwell safely; Now this is His name by which He will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
Lord Jesus is our righteousness. He is justice, a sprouted branch to establish justice who came into the world as a human being. He does whatever is justice and righteous in His eyes.
Proverbs 21:2: Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs the hearts.
Man thinks of certain paths as right but God measures his heart as to what he says, thinks and Lord Jesus does justice to him. God examines our hearts, thoughts, and the matter that troubles us.
Jeremiah 17:10, says “I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings.”
God searches the heart of every human being and grants accordingly.
V 6, says Judah will be saved. Salvation means liberation in soul, spirit, and body. Wherever we expect liberation, Lord Jesus gives it.
Judah will be saved, And Israel will dwell safely.
Another translation says that “Israel will live in safety.” At present, safety is important as the pandemic is troubling all of us.
Psalm 12:5, says “For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, Now I will arise,” says the LORD; “I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.”
God will grant safety to everyone who is longing, seeking with a deep breath, like the protection available in a country, family, which adds peace.
Psalm 41:3, The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.
Psalm 41:2, The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies.
God will not surrender/give away us to the adversary who intends and comes to steal, kill and destroy. Some human power might also think to destroy us but God will provide safety from all of them.
2 Thessalonians 3:3, But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you against the evil one.
Israel will live in safety. Our family, finance, physical condition, plan of the heart, plans of the future will be in safety. God’s mercy and grace will surround us. He will carry, sustain and rescue us.
