God has called us and chosen us before laying foundation of the earth.
1 Samuel 18:12- people may fear on seeing us, which would not indicate that position is reached. God examines us during that situation. Fear has to come out of respect.

1 Samuel 18:16- being loved by people doesn’t indicate that the position is reached.
Never gain enemies. When our life pleases God, the enemies will also be our friends.
When we love God, people will love us.

1 Samuel 18:30- being wise and popular, will not help to reach the appointed position. It doesn’t indicate that position is reached.
The more we humble, God will lead us and bring to the appointed position.
