Thought
How was Daniel blessed with the name highly esteemed? He was taken as a slave when he was 17 years old, lived in a foreign country full of evil for more than 70 years. Lord commended him because of His life style, In Eze 14:14 even if these three men—Noah, Daniel and Job—were in it, they could save only themselves by their righteousness, declares the Sovereign LORD. When Lord said about the most holy men lived, Daniel is one among the three, and many believe, when Lord said this to Ezekiel, Daniel was still alive. Awesome.
Decided to Stop Sinning when He got an opportunity: We decide not to sin when we fall into sins, but Daniel decided and planned to avoid sin when He saw a chance to sin. But Daniel made up his mind that he would not defile himself Dan 1:8, Word says, Fear of God is to hate evil.
Faithful even in little things: Many of us are careless in small things, like our eating, sleeping, our little works etc. But Daniel was so careful in those things also. He was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him Dan 6:4. Word says you who are faithful in little things Lord will appoint you to greater things.
Consistent Thanksgiving prayer life: When we are in trouble we pray whole day with tears, if all are good we pray to please God. But Daniel came to know rule was written against him. He kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime Dan 6:10 That day also three times, with praises, Wow!
Trusted God in every situation: When we see things going out of control, we cry out, Oh! Lord why have you forsaken me. Daniel even when he was put into Lions den He trusted. Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God Dan 6:13. Excellent; do you trust enough.
If we have these attributes in us, We will be called “ highly esteemed”
Prayer
Lord; change my name that I will be only yours. I belong to you alone daddy. I know Let me have a lifestyle like Daniel. Amen.
