Uzza was struck to death for which David is also a reason.
David went along with his people to bring back the ark of the Lord. Actually, he has to take Levites to bring it back. The ark was brought back in bullock cart, which is the way of Philistines. The ark should have been carried in shoulders. Uzza was also a Levite. The Levites namely Gershon and Kohathites have different office of function in which Kohathites should carry the ark. Uzzah did not point out the mistake of carrying the ark in cart. He should not touch the ark as per the commandment but he touches it.
Uzzah had familiarity which led to his act of omission of God’s commandment which is a sin. God’s yardstick is always different.
