“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
This verse speaks about four different adversities. They are as follows the poor, the broken-hearted, the captives, the bonded.
These days we undergo any of this adversity.
The good news is preached to the poor. The broken-hearted are healed. Liberty is obtained to the captives. The bonded are freed.
We come across in life these adversities. We go through this path because of Satan allowed by God.
There is oppression because of poverty, caste, finance, and work. We undergo such circumstances at times. God brings good news to such people. In family, there may be oppression through the in-laws, spouse, etc. In the workplace, there may be suppression. There is a piece of good news for such people.
Broken-heartedness is experienced by the person who undergoes betrayal. The broken-hearted are the young widow, fatherless/motherless children. God heals their wounds.
Captives are the ones who are bound through their work. The documents of some people who work overseas are with their employer, they are totally tied up. There is also captivity by means of sin, sickness, death, curse, Satan, witchcraft, black magic, etc. God delivers them from such a bond.
You may be affected, oppressed because of these four mentioned categories.
Be encouraged. God’s hand is upon you. God will work upon you. He will heal the brokenhearted, liberates from the captivity, and deliver from bondage.
Bonds shall be broken
All bonds shall be broken. God delivers from sickness, financial issues, debts, etc. Holy Spirit shall overshadow you.
The first part of the verse itself states that the spirit of the Lord is upon us.
God delivers from all the bonds. The bond shall be broken. The new path is before you. God’s hand is stretched upon you. All crooked paths will be made straight.
