Isaiah 1
1 The vision concerning Judah and Jerusalem that Isaiah son of Amoz saw during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
Vision concerning God’s people (vision) was seen by Isaiah, how in his spirit or did he see it with his physical eyes. Visions are true. Bible says Pro 29:18 “Where there is no vision, the people perish” Did we have our vision from God. Look the range under whom Isaiah prophesied. All of these kings were good and very bad at times. Still he continued, we too irrespective of our situation we need to be a man who carries the vision of God. History says he was swayed by a wooden saw by Mannaesh. In heaven Isaiah will have a special place. He had vision of Jesus’ birth, His crucification and many other secrets.
Lord told Habakkuk, write the visions, for it is for a time. Visions will be fulfilled at God’s timing. Vision is the knowing of God’s heart. Daniel said He is the revealers of mysteries. Paul said knowledge of grace was hidden for ages. Proverbs says it 25:2 “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.” We are kings in the Lord.
2 Hear, O heavens! Listen, O earth! For the LORD has spoken:
He would have proclaimed it at the streets, when we speak our messages do we speak what Lord has spoken, do we wait to listen what the Lord wants to speak to us. Heaven and Earth are listening to the words we speak. They will speak those when the Lord calls them on the day of judgement. Be careful to work out your salvation in fear and trembling.
Donkey spoke, Red Sea and Jordan divided, Storm stopped when Jesus commanded, Rotation of earth stopped when Joshua prayed. Fire came down when Elijah prayed. Rain stopped for 3.5 years when Elijah prayed. Whole nature is in God’s absolute control. Listen carefully to God, for even winds, sea and whole nature listens to Almighty.
“I reared children and brought them up, but they have rebelled against me.
Lord has a pain to tell, I raised [my] children and helped them grow, but now their hearts have been turned away from me. Were our heart’s focussed on. Are we causing pain to our Father? I feel so sad when my son falls down. How much more my heavenly Father feels when I keep disappointing Him.
Remember if you are sad or scared; Almighty is raising you up. Can He make a mistake? He has plans for you. Just stop rebelling by doubting, questioning and disobeying. Partial obedience is complete disobedience and rejecting Almighty. Jer 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD”
3 The ox knows his master, the donkey his owner’s manger,
but Israel does not know, my people do not understand.”
Message says, when we lose the fear God we becomes worse than an animal, many times we behave worse than animals, because we do not know and understand God.
His love, His standards, His awesomeness understood rightly will keep us away from sins. Prov 8:13 “The fear of the LORD is to hate evil“ If not we end up worse than a ox or a donkey
We will know more of God when we desire for Him. Ask for understanding Jam 1:5, unless we understand God in right way; our life will be worse than a life of an ox and donkey, aimless. Are you mindful of your savoir, know that you are in His presence always. Knowing about God benefits mind (it gives you knowledge of sin), but to know God it benefits soul (only that will keep you in holiness)
4 Ah, sinful nation, a people loaded with guilt,
Once children now Lord calls them sinful nation, once beloved now people loaded with guilt. Heart is fully knowing sins, it’s hurting but still does nothing and also continue to sin.
a brood of evildoers, children given to corruption! They have forsaken the LORD;
Oh, see they have made up their mind to sin. Wilful sins is it your habit. It’s just a weakness in your eyes, but remember actually you are rejecting God. Secret sins that you enjoy will destroy you. Jud 16:20 “But hedid not know that the LORD had left him” Israel got just 10 chances (Num 14:22 “Surely all the men who have seen My glory and My signs which I performed in Egypt and in the wilderness, yet have put Me to the test these ten times and have not listened to My voice“), how many we have got. It’s scary to think how many times I have failed Him.
they have spurned the Holy One of Israel and turned their backs on him.
Forgotten God, turned to opposite direction of God, living the way you want and not the way Lord has set for you. King James version says they went backwards. Went back to sinful ways
5 Why should you be beaten anymore? Why do you persist in rebellion?
Why are you not turning even after being punished? How long will you rebel against God Almighty, why call upon more destruction on yourself. Will you not answer God’s call to return? He is waiting.
True Lord will not tempt you with evil. But remember He is a loving Father who corrects and punishment. Is tough time you are going as a result of punishment from God? Rev 3:19 “Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent.” Is the Lord trying to get your attention to correct? Prov 3:12 “For whom the LORD loves He reproves, Even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights.”
Your whole head is injured, your whole heart afflicted.
You have tried to solve things by your intelligence and you failed, your heart is so heavy and discouraged.
6 From the sole of your foot to the top of your head
there is no soundness only wounds and welts and open sores, not cleansed or bandaged
or soothed with oil.
Lord knows you need a soothing with His Spirit, he has seen your restlessness, you pain and he has seen your unsolved problems. He sees the need of cleansing, it needs medicine for healing. He is ready to do and He has come to you and said you need it.
Fear God; for He will go to any extend to correct you. It is only because you are chosen by God. He did it for His own children alone. Ps 23:4 “your rod (punishment/correction) and your staff (guidance), they comfort me”
7 Your country is desolate, your cities burned with fire;
your fields are being stripped by foreigners right before you, laid waste as when overthrown by strangers.
Your possession has been destroyed by strangers, destructions even for the nation you live in, what your resources are giving it’s taken by others not your children. You have lost all what you have. Remember your soul stage is having impact on your physical stage.
We are supposed to be blessed, not in debts. We need to be a blessing and be blessed in Jesus Mighty Name.
