Verse:
Wherefore thou art great, O LORD God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee. 2 Samuel 7:22
Thought:
We all know, we serve an awesome God. This week can we meditate and describe how awesome our God is. Daniel prayed in Dan 9:4 “I prayed to the LORD, my God, and confessed, Ah, Lord, great and awesome God, you who keep your merciful covenant toward those who love you and observe your commandments!” and Jeremiah confessed Jer 32:17 “Ah Lord GOD! Behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.”
Yes Lord I confess No power or will can ultimately thwart his purposes. No matter how great the need, God’s resources are never depleted. God has the power to keep his word. The real test of our spiritual maturity is trusting God to fulfill this promise, even when we can’t see the good in a situation. Can we sing truthfully “Lord you are beyond description.”
Prayer:
The all-powerful God is with me. He exercises his power on my behalf. Whenever I need him, and even when I think I don’t, he is there. He never fails. All his plans for me will come to pass. I can trust him completely. Amen.
