Verse:
“And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you ” Mathew 24:4
Thought:
Jesus here is speaking the last message to His disciples before being crucified. One of the many reason why Jesus said to be careful of being deceived, was because the words says, “For there will arise false christs, and false prophets, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.” Mathew 24:24 . We are living in a time where people are running behind miracles. We do not hear about salvation on pulpits, most of them will never talk of second coming; messages and meeting are about healing, prosperity etc. Are you also running after signs and wonders ?
1 John 4:1 “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but prove the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” Spiritual lust makes me demand an answer from God instead of seeking God who gives the answer. The meaning of prayer is that we get hold of God and not of the answer. Words says Moses saw the ways of the Lord, people saw the acts of the Lord. What do you want to see ?
Prayer:
Jesus, am sorry Lord, now on I will only seek you. Let me live on the word and not on signs and emotions. Amen.
