He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me. 2 Sam 22:20
Thought
David says enemies were too powerful, and David did not have the capability to face them; the word says “He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me.” 2 Sam 22:18. When we are facing uphill tasks and we feel so weak. Our rescue is from the Lord.
Enemy strikes when it is least expected, when we feel we are weak, attack on us increases. Do not be discouraged my soul. David said; “They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the LORD was my support.” 2 Sam 22:19. Let us lean on Lord who is our support and let us not lean on our understanding.
From the deepest crisis our Lord will bring us out and make us stand on firm place which is prosperous. We will also by His grace will surely testify like David, “He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me” 2 Sam 22:20. Yes Lord delights in His children who loves Him, who trust and depends on Him.
Prayer
Father Lord; forgive me, cleanse, help me to obey that you will delight in my ways. I know you will bring me out of troubles and will make me stand on strong and spacious ground. Amen.
