Know
Isaiah described the Lord in Isaiah chapter 40; let us meditate who is the Lord whom we serve, and what are people, universe before the Almighty. Reverence and fear of Almighty will fill us when we understand the greatness of God. We will be filled with passion to live for the Almighty and we will hate sin when we get the revelation that our God is?
People
Isaiah 40:6
“All men are like grass” In front of God people are like grass that withers away easily, word says we are just a mere breadth. Isaiah 40:22 “people are like grasshoppers” We are so small, and weak in front of God Isaiah 40:15 “Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales;” Put all the power of nations together, it is like a drop of water in a bucket, all the things of man is just dust on scale (not even worth as a scale). How big and majestic is our God?
Universe
Isaiah 40:12
“Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand” When I was flying above the sea I looked down I could only sea water, the sight was too outstanding, I looked like a drop in the ocean, now when Lord looks at the whole water of the world it is like waters in His hands .Isaiah 40:12 “with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens?” Sky is so marvellous and it looks measureless, but Lord can mark it with His hand Wow! Let me not explain further but quoting the word Isaiah 40:12 “Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance”; Isaiah 40:15 “he weighs the islands as though they were fine dust” Isaiah 40:22 “He stretches out the heavens like a canopy (whole heaven is like a bed sheet), and spreads them out like a tent to live in” Isaiah 40:26 “He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name (every at start has a name). Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing (heavenly bodies’ stays because of God’s power)”
Truth
Let us meditate and ask Lord to reveal who He is. Knowing our Lord will transform our lives. Anyone who knew the Lord transformed the world.
