Verse:
Our faith is what wins the victory over the world. 1 John 5:4
Thought:
Most of even before falling into sin, we are fearful that we might fall into sin. Most of us are not confident that we will not fall into sin. Jesus said; we need to believe and have confidence that the Lord who saved us from sin, will also keep us from sinning. That’s why Paul said in Rom 6:14 “Sin will not be the master of you.” With faith in our side we can depend on three simple ways of life.
1.But the Bible says, “Walk by the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh” Galatians 5:17. All believers already possess the Holy Spirit, but this passage tells us that we need to walk in the Spirit, yielding to His control. 2. Prayer is simply acknowledging our own limitations and God’s inexhaustible power and turning to Him for that strength to do what HE wants us to do (not what WE want to do) 1 John 5:14-15. 3. The Bible – 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says that God has given us His Word to equip us for every good work. It teaches us how to live and what to believe, it reveals to us when we have chosen wrong paths to take, it helps us get back on the right path, and helps us to stay on that path.
Prayer:
I believe, Jesus will intercede for me, Holy Spirit will guide me and Father God will strengthen me that I will not sin. Amen
