Verse:
Is anything too hard for the Lord ? Genesis 18:14
Thought:
Abraham was promised by God with a son when he was seventy five years old. Abraham waited for twenty five years, how did he wait, the word says “Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.” Rom 4:18-22.
When situations are tough and when we feel there is no more hope, when everything looks impossible, can we answer the question that the Lord asked Abraham. For with God nothing is ever impossible. Luke 1:37. This answer will fill our heart with comfort.
Prayer:
I am repeating the prayer of Jeremiah. Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee. Jer 32:17 . Amen.
