Verse
Luke 17:13 called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!”
Thought
Ten men who had leprosy met Jesus, we also are sick spiritually, or we might have desperate needs that needs the hand of the Lord. What should we do ? Ask, Cry Out : Luke 17:13 called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!” Let us cry out and ask the Almighty to have pity on us. When we ask, let us believe, if He looks at us, we will be healed and saved.
Listen, Believe : Luke 17:14 When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed. When Jesus asked them to go, they were not healed, but His words were the surety of healing, when they acted on His words, they were healed. Let us also, believe, claim, and have peace on the promises of God
Praise, Go Back : Luke 17:15 One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. When one realized He was healed, He could go to priest and come back , he had to prove to the world that he was healed, but he did not wait, he ran to Jesus and thanked Jesus in loud voice and Luke 17:16 He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him. Are we grateful for what all blessings that our Lord is giving us ?
Commend, More Blessing : Luke 17:19 Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.” Jesus commended that it was the faith that healed him. Now rise up and go and be well. Only the grateful person received this blessing. I believe Jesus meant the faith of taking a decision to come to Jesus and not to the priest. Let us also believe in His words and not on situations.
Prayer
Lord have pity on us, give me the promise that I will act on it. I will surely run to you always, give me the strength to run away from the world. Amen.
