Oh my soul; why are you still downcast?
Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3
Paul wrote to Thessalonians, when they had troubles and confusions. They had trails and persecutions all around them. We will learn what Paul taught them. Five learning’s from each chapter. Today we will learn the 5 learning from Chapter three. Let me start by encouraging you with 2 Thessalonians 3:3 ‘Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one’, I claim this as the promise for the week.
Our Strength and Protection
The Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3 A new week starting, we might feel weak or tensed about facing the situations, fearful of the attacks of the evil one. Let us focus on the Lord who is faithful. Paul said I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me. Moses said no evil will come near you, thousand might fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand but it will not come near you.
We have confidence in the Lord 2 Thessalonians 3:4. Joshua said every good promise of God was fulfilled. Jesus will never leave nor forsake us. We can trust Him. Hope of His children will never be disappointed. We have been so unfaithful to God many times, but He is always faithful.
May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.. 2 Thessalonians 3:5; When we are struggling to live a holy life; just trust in the Lord to guide you. David asked Lord to keep him from wilful sins. Depend on God, Jesus asked us to pray so that we will be kept from temptation. If we surrender to God; for a Holy Life and depend (trust) in Him. He will lead us, to live HOLY.
May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way 2 Thessalonians 3:16. when we are troubled at heart; when our situations are not good. Do not wait for the solutions, to have peace. Look at God; He gives us peace that passes all understanding.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. 2 Thessalonians 3:16. Above all, His grace is sufficient. We can run to the throne of grace. Grace will never fail. Grace is always available for us. Even when we sin, even when we are weak, broken, every state grace is working. By grace we are saved and grace will lead us home. Oh my soul; why are you still downcast?
Lord, my father you know my fears, my worries, all my weakness. If not for your grace I would have been consumed. My strength is in you. You are my protection, you guide me always, my peace is in you, and my confidence is in your provisions. Your grace is sufficient all the days of my life. Amen and Amen.
