Verse:
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ Titus 2:13
Thought:
We were once in sin but now we are saved “For the grace of God that brings salvation” Titus 2:11 has been poured out on us. We are saved and Lord’s desire is; we should not live in the old pattern. “It teaches us to say NO to ungodliness and worldly passions and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age” Titus 2:12. Say Yes to God’s will and No to sin. It is wonderful when our Yes brings a smile on Jesus face.
Grace has appeared. It teaches us how to walk in this world, and to live the expectation of the appearing of the glory in the Person of Jesus Christ Himself. And our hope is well founded. Christ is justly precious to us. We can have full confidence of heart in thinking of His appearing in glory, as well as the most powerful motive for a life devoted to His glory. He gave Himself for us to redeem us from all iniquity, and to purify for Himself a people who would belong to Him in His own right and be zealous-according to His will and His nature-of good works.
Prayer:
I am waiting for Your (Jesus) second coming. You have called me, You will carry me through, You will keep me from falling. You have given me Your righteousness. Amen.
