How to be bold?
Verse
“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
Thought
Lord wants his children to live in good courage without fear. How can we be bold, How can we have courage in tough situations? How to be bold as a lion?
Hope: The word says; “Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold.” 2 Corinthians 3:12. In crisis if we have hope in Lord and His promises, then we will be bold. Let us stop looking at troubles with fear.
Companion: “When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13 Jewish leaders were astonished at the courage of Peter and John, and they realized they were with Jesus. Being with Jesus, spending quiet time with him results in godly courage.
Holiness: “The wicked flee when no one is pursuing, But the righteous are bold as a lion.” Prov 28:1. There is courage like lion that comes into our lives when we live holy as this is promise of God. There is power in obeying the word of God.
Prayer
Father Lord, my hope is in your promises, Jesus I want to be your friend for ever, Holy Spirit anoint me to live a holy life. Amen.
