Verse
Romans 8:24 “For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has?”
Thought
The Biblical definition of hope is “confident expectation.” Hope is a firm assurance regarding things that are unclear and unknown. How do we continue in hope when there is delay in our expectation and problems in the fulfilment of our expectation? What should we do?
Endure and Encourage
Romans 15:4 “… through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.” When things are not happening the way we expected, endure on the promises of God, receive the encouragement by leaning on the word and not on the world.
Trust Alone
Romans 15:4 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Delay or deviations; just keep on trusting on the Lord, more you trust, the Lord fills our heart with joy and peace, and surely power of the Holy Spirit will make hope overflow with in us.
Prayer
Father Lord, our hope is in your word, we trust completely in you, we are sure we will never ever be disappointed. Every promises of the Lord will be fulfilled, in Jesus Name. Amen.
