Verse:
“Behold I thought, He will surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God and wave his hand over the place and cure the leper” 2 Kings 5:11
Thought:
We are like Naaman, when He came for healing to Prophet Elisha from leprosy, He knew Prophet will heal but when Elisha asked to go wash yourself in river Jordan and you will be healed. Naaman became furious because that is not the way he expected the prophet will heal. We keep praying and expect and even counsel God the ways we need the answer to come because we feel only that way the answer can come. But God says very clearly my ways are not your ways.
So let us stop thinking the ways and trust in His works. “He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the sons of Israel” Ps 103:7 People were lost in the desert because they always kept testing God when things were not in their ways. We too complain when things are not in our ways. Let us be like Moses trusting and seeing God s ways. Jesus is the wonderful counselor, his ways are the best. Let us just lean on him and not on our understanding for His ways.
Prayer:
I want to see your hands in every way of my life and I am not expecting anything else other than your company with me. I do not want to decide my destiny.Amen.
