Verse:
Believed through grace Acts 18:27
Thought:
There was a man called Apollos, who had great zeal for the Lord and brought many to the Lord. But He knew only about repentance. Aquila and Priscilla (a wonderful couple who were Paul co-workers) took Apollos to their house and taught him, about the death of Jesus on the cross and how grace flows into our life freely for those who believe. Any number of hours of prayer or even learning the word can bring Salvation. Salvation and forgiveness comes by faith, believing in the grace of God. Spending time in prayer and learning the word will be result of the grace we received.
You would have fallen many times and has come to a point, where you feel Lord is not going to forgive. The word says “Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Heb 4:16. Never Stop running to the Lord, ask help, for He will never leave you. Ask for forgiveness in shame, with a broken and contrite spirit. DO not confess out of fear of punishment or out of the fear that you might miss the bus to heaven or lose the blessings of the Lord. Say sorry for disappointing the Lord.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to overcome my carnal nature. I am really sorry Lord; I really want to end my life of struggles and want to live a victorious life in Christ Jesus. Amen.
