What is the motive of living as a child of God?
Verse
Because you did not serve the LORD your God with joy and a glad heart, for the abundance of all things; therefore you shall serve your enemies Deu 28:47,48
Thought
We are saved by His grace, but how do we conduct ourselves on a day to day life. Do we serve God out of the fear that we might lose a blessing? Or do we obey the Lord, fearing the punishment that might follow? Or do we avoid sins thinking of the attacks of the evil one? Or do we really want to enjoy the pleasures of the world but someone with struggle and avoid all those just to please God. What is the motive of living as a child of God?
The verse above warns us about all these attitudes. If we do not serve God with Joy and Gladness and with abundance we will end up serving our enemies. Let our life be driven on the basis of our love towards God, let everything what we do “before the LORD your God, and rejoice in all your undertakings” Deu 12:7. Be thrilled to serve, be desperate to pray, let our heart long to worship, love to learn the word, be passionate to bring lost souls to the kingdom of God. What a glorious life it will be, once tasted we will never ever leave it. Oh! Lets end the life of struggle and start a joyful living.
Prayer
Lord, give me the mind of Jesus. Give me the humbleness and the anointing to serve the God Almighty. Lord, help us to live a life of Joy and Peace. Amen.
