“Be still, and know that I am God” Psalms 46:10
When we are in trouble, we become fearful. But our Lord wants us to be still and know that He is God. What is being still? Stop worrying and start worshiping. Worship is giving glory to God; anything that brings glory to God is worship. Bring glory to God by believing that Lord is in control and see the way of the Lord. “The LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm” Nahum 1:3 Do you see Him in tough times.
In the deepest trouble how could Psalmist be still and in His trouble how did He know the Lord. Because He believed and knew “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalms 46:1. Do you just know the verse in your mind or do you trust this verse in your heart.
Lord, I trust in Your ways and I am standing in this cross road not knowing where to go, but I am waiting and being still to know that You are my Lord. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
