Our Promise
“For seven days they celebrated with joy the Feast of Unleavened Bread, because the LORD had filled them with joy by changing the attitude of the king of Assyria, so that he assisted them in the work on the house of God, the God of Israel
.” Ezra 6:22
Background
Israelites were under slavery during Babylonian times, when Persia came to power. Something supernatural happened. King Cyrus let the people free and gave permission to build temple for God, also promised to provide for the needs. (Refer
Ezra 1:2-4)
Hindrance Removed
Building stopped for some time (Refer
Ezra 4:23-24), later Dairus also gave permission and provided everything needed for building of temple thus “The temple was completed” Ezra 6:15. No more slavery freedom to worship. Same way in Jesus mighty name our desires will be fulfilled and, Lord’s plans for us will prosper in us.
Lesson Learnt
We might be in situation where we need favor from authorities to fulfill many things. Appreciations that are due. Remember “The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases.”
Prov 21:1 Let us stop trying to influence and stop grumbling, let us trust in the Lord, Lord will change the heart and attitude of our authorities towards us to show favor.
