Thought
Growth happens when unity is there. Acts 2:1 “all the Lord’s followers were together in one place” When 120 people were together in one place, heaven could not hold back the out pour of the Holy Spirit. In the above key verse we see a complaint arose when growth happened. (satan trick to stop growth)
When enemies came against Judah and Jerusalem 2 Chro 20:5 “After everyone from Judah and Jerusalem had come together at the LORD’s temple”, Wow Lord responded 2 Chro 20:15 “the LORD says that you don’t need to be afraid or let this powerful army discourage you. God will fight on your side!” Unity bring in God himself.
Is there any complain that you have against your brother? Are you carrying the hurt? My dear; run to God settle it. Then go speak to the one who has hurt you. You are missing out the great out pour God’s power.
How to handle disunity? (Stop ignoring disunity)
Continue in the Word.
Even when things go wrong, let your priority be the word of God. Always cling on the promises of God. Acts 6:2 “We should not give up preaching God’s message in order to serve at tables” Whatever be the problem be like Abraham Rom 4:20 “Abraham never doubted or questioned God’s promise”. Stop running after signs and wonders; be in the word, Mark 16:20 “The Lord was with them, and the miracles they worked proved that their message was true”. What you claim as promise Lord will back it up with wonders. Wow.
Take precautions.
Do not take lightly the feeling of hurt? If you did not like someone’ actions and you are hurt, do not try to ignore it, but deal with it. Acts 6:3 “choose seven men who are respected and wise and filled with God’s Spirit”. Disciples selected the best men to handle a silly problem of food. Because they knew, if we give a foothold of satan he will build a stronghold. When it is small itself solve it. Always be first in forgiving and asking sorry. Then you will be first to be used. Kill your ego; look out for action packed life with Jesus.
Never compromise on Prayer:
“We can spend our time praying and serving God by preaching” Acts 6:4. Worship and Prayer is not a practice but it should be your life style. Once you know the joy of speaking to God, you will never stop praying, once tasting the power of worship, you will ever stop worshipping.
Prayer
Lord; you are great, I pray against the spirit of disunity. I crush it, in the name Jesus. Lord let brotherly love prevail. Let us never take grace and our fellow being for granted. Sorry for doing it in the past. Anoint us to build your kingdom. Amen.
